The first graders have spent the last 3 days working on creating their space hats. We learned the names of the planets, and talked about the order that they are in. We created a splatter paint starry background for our hat. Then the students colored and cut out each of the planets in the sun. Finally, the student glued the planets in order on their hat. We listened to this space song while we finished our hats this afternoon. The first graders loved it!
